July 6, 2010 Fruits of the City grows its model for fresh food access in Twin Citiesby Sarah Vig – The Twin Cities Daily Planet describes how, by harvesting from backyards for food shelves, the whole community benefits from Fruits of the City: "We're building a model to take to other communities in Minnesota," explains Dave Glenn, Director of Operations at the Minnesota Project.
March 25, 2010 "Five Observations on the Heartland Food Network’s Chef-to-Chef Event" - By Alyssa Vance. Heavy Table covered the Heartland Food Network’s recent Chef-to-Chef event at the Craftsman Restaurant in Minneapolis on March 22. Piece covers main take-aways from the event including tips for restaurants looking to use more local food.
March 13, 2010 "Upcoming Workshop Helps Chefs Put More Local Food on Their Menus" - By Amy Thielen. Heartland Food Network’s Chef-to-Chef Local Food Event was highlighted in a preview piece on the website Simple, Good and Tasty. The article describes the panel of chef presenters that helped chefs find farmers and “navigate the sometimes confusing logistics of serving seasonal food.”
March 11, 2010 "Local food networking takes center stage in Fergus Falls" - By Carol Stender. Coverage of presentation Annalisa Hultberg, coordinator of the Heartland Food Network, gave as part of the Homegrown Economy Conference on February 16 at Minnesota State College in Fergus Falls, MN. Talk laid out how to bring local food to the college setting and how to work with the management company at a college to increase local purchases.

Ryan Stockwell, Director of Energy and Agriculture at the Minnesota Project, told HMONG TIMES, "There is an underlying sentiment for the need for self generation, sustainability."
